“Poise”, a charcoal drawing/painting on brown painters paper, created in a Thursday afternoon drawing lab.
My life drawings are my form of meditation, I completely lose myself when I’m working on them, simply focusing on the form, the figure, the line and value of the pose. All my figure drawings are drawn from a life model, it adds to the essence of the final piece, as you need to work in a set time frame and allow for minor movements and changes in the figure.
This original drawing measures 19” x 14” and is unmatted.
