Twine found whilst walking on a beach in the North East of Scotland has found its way into a painting created in Magnolia, Texas! I love that there is a physical part of another place in a piece of art created in another part of the world, there’s such a big connection there! I also love up cycling something discarded!
The flowing lines and pooling of the paint amidst the found beach debris create their own little tide pools and the paint sits in little puddles of color, it has such an organic feel.
The warm ivory background on this painting gives an element of warmth and compliment to the blue greens and periwinkle colors of the water.
