“Omnipresence” was inspired by Galveston Beach in Texas. The feeling of standing at the side of the gulf, the gulls flying around and the waves washing in and out made me feel calm in the presence of nature. I felt connected to whatever or whomever, was at the other side of the expanse of water.
This painting was created using acrylic on canvas, as well as collage materials including Houston Key Maps, silver and gold leaf, handmade paper and antique love letters.
The colors in this painting are all mixed with a grey base, making it a very harmonious, calming piece, soft pinks and greens with waves of white and a sky of gentle gray.
