“Roadside Flowers” was created after a summer road trip to Marfa and The Big Bend in Texas. It was really hot and dry, but I noticed a flower growing though the cracks in the concrete road, and was inspired by its resilience and stamina. This painting began as an 8” x 8” charcoal drawing and developed into a 48” x 48” painting.
